For the next week

So I'm not going to be around (the internet) much over the next week as there's a lot of stuff going on. Tonight, nothing but RPing and colouring.

Tomorrow; Attending a furry opera. Yes, you read correctly, a furry opera. I hope it's in English but it could equally be in Czech'. Oh well, we'll see. Full details about the opera are here; [link]

Wednesday; Nothing. Although it is pay day, and all excess will be going towards the weekend.

Thursday; My kitty's birthday dinner. Her parents are taking her to a place called Strawberry Fare [link] . It's excellent and is famous for its excellent deserts. Nani, Bron, and I are all going along as well, so it'll be fun despite her parents being there.

Friday will be the day Suzie arrives. She's a fellow deviant whose been watching me for some time. She'll be crashing on the couch at my flat over Armageddon. I have to pick her up from the con' venue in the evening.

Undervalued Artists!

So it turns out the dA stand at the upcoming convention, Armageddon, has been pushed all the way to some back corner that is actually the end of a hallway. That's irritating, especially considering how many cool artists will be at the stand this year.

Ah well, hopefully with my gf cosplaying as Sumomo and her friend cosplaying as Kotoko we should be able to pull many people to the stand and gather attention. After all, I know she'll be spending a lot of time around her favourite artist; Nani. Hopefully all this direction and people knowing members of the stand will bring in enough people to sell all the merchandise that will be there.

Sadly, with recent ailments I haven't gotten much done for the con, at least not as much as I wanted to. However I've still been able to help Nani with her comic, so I don't feel so bad. Pity I couldn't get the alterations I wanted made to my cloak, but oh well, I have awesome aviator goggles, so I suppose they make up for it.

I admit, I've drawn some revealing smut, but it's not going to be uploaded here because it'd violate policy. You can, however, find it on FA... although I'm not about to make finding it easy >X3

What you need to survive the end of the world.

EDIT: Ok, so the mermaids wont get finished, and the mermaid RP idea wont get done >.< I've come across something that's much more likely to be enjoyable for the players and successful as an RP. Oh well, this means I'll likely be uploading sketches of the NPC's, settings, and a bunch of other interesting stuff in the future

So in April there will be the annual convention, the only particular one that happens in NZ (not including the other 2 in 2 other cities run by the same people with nearly the same stuff, so I feel like they don't count). With that comes new projects to get done. Specifically, helping ~nai-XaIn with two of hers. One of them has been keeping me busy on the weekends when I visit her place and the other has been keeping my busy at home (although not over the past week as I had excess gum over a wisdom tooth burnt off cos it was causing trouble).

With that in mind, it's unlikely that I'll finish the dark Mindy or either of those 2 mermaids before the convention. You're all lucky to get anything this month, but look, I gave you all a wallpaper, I hope that tides you over to April. However I have a feeling it wont. Ah well, maybe I'll finally get my friend to send me the scan of the picture of Sky that I did on my Gallion character sheet.

It looks like this entire month will be about preparation for the convention, so don't expect too much activity from me in that time >.< He said, knowing full well his activity in the month beforehand hadn't been very much. Maybe I'll upload those practice sketches I did, if I feel like they don't suck too much x_x

Continuety and Interesting Characters

I decided to study the book I got for Christmas, which is about drawing characters in a way that makes them more interesting and expressive. While beginning this, through practice exercises, I realised that I lack continuety in my drawings of the same character. This has never been an issue for me as if I draw a character more than once it is usually to revise their design.

I do, however, recognise how frustrated I was at my lack of continuety. So, I'll be practicing making my characters more interesting and expressive while also practicing continuety. However, spaced in between sheets of practice sketches will, hopefully, be completed illustrations/drawings/designs.

Sorry to those people who I told I'd have another picture of Sky for. I didn't end up finishing it the weekend I said I would, although I suppose I can scan the inks anyway and show you. Hopefully I remember to do so this coming weekend as I don't have the piece of paper on me.

I also hope to create a new character, a mermaid, for an RP I hope to run with a friend (as in me GMing and them being the player). Still haven't finished the techo-anthro future one of him and Melody, but I have a continuation idea for that one, so it's ok.

Back on topic; I may or may not post the practice sketches. Still undecided on that one. I'm not very pleased with some of them, but I suppose it'll also achieve what I wanted to before, which was give you all a glimpse into how I plan out my pencil work.

Oh, I also got Prodigy's new album; Invaders Must Die. It's so freaking epic, I'm loving the tunes on it so very much. It was scheduled for release here on the 3rd of March. Not sure what happened, whether the CD store I got it from is being sneaky, but I got it before then, which makes me even happier ^.^

Recent Events and Goings-on

I've been spending a lot of time over at my friends place; ~nai-XaIn and her bf Bron. It's been a lot of fun, and I seem to spend more and more time over there. They have me addicted to role playing. When I'm not at their place I feel like an addict in the street asking for cash to fuel his habit x.x Anywho, lots of drawing, role playing, and freaking awesome sushi insued. Drawings evidenced by the uploads within the past month.

I've also been researching materials to make a completely biodegradable pen from. This being done in the hopes that I can replace my petroleum-dependant pens with the ones I design. That, and I'll be able to help others by creating such a thing ^.^

Anywho, now that I've filled you all in, I think I'll get back to finishing off my Gallion character
